Five Minute Friday Challenge hosted by Lisa-Jo Baker. Participants write for 5 minutes
with no editing, no over thinking, and no backtracking. This week’s word is: Small.
(Go)
Whoever said
that ‘small things amuse small minds’ clearly never studied small…
Never got up
close to dew drops on the rose leaves
Never went
looking for teeny tiny sea shells
Never noticed
how furry a tomato stalk can be
Never saw the
beauty in an onion flower
Never watched a
flower unfurl
Never enjoyed
the lavender glittering in the sun
Never knew what
shapes make up the middle of a daisy
Never counted
the veins on a pea plant
Never really
admired a lady bug
Whoever said
that? Missed a lot!
(Stop)
Now, your
turn…
Terrific post, bless you.

DeleteHi Lizzie! I am coming from FMF.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos! They have your logo on them, so you took them? I am very impressed with your 'eye'. It is a blessing to see God's work in the small. You sure have done that!
Nice to meet you today!

DeleteGreat post Lizzy! Reminds me of a book called "Searching for Small"!

DeleteLizzy, you and I clearly pay attention to "small" around us. Beautiful photos. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteMaria @ Bloom
It was a delight to discover someone else who thinks in a very similar way!

ReplyDeleteThis is so true!! But not just the visual beauty we miss in our busyness, but also the sound of the sea, the singing of doves, the laughter of a baby, crickets playing their violins at night while frogs are singing the base!
Blessings XX
Mia
Exactly! my list is but very, very, very small sample :)
DeleteVery nice. You have been seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary.
